How it works
Hylite helps you find breakout moments faster by monitoring clip activity and surfacing what's rising with near-real-time updates.
TL;DR
- You choose streamers to monitor.
- Hylite continuously checks fresh clip activity.
- When activity spikes, clips are surfaced and ranked so you can review the best moments first.
What counts as "activity"?
Hylite looks at signals like:
- New clips being created
- How quickly a clip is gaining attention (for example views over time)
- Recency (newer clips matter more)
How clips are surfaced
Hylite prioritizes moments with unusual activity compared to the recent baseline.
A spike is a sudden increase in clip activity
Spikes often happen right after a big moment on stream
How ranking works
Clips are typically ranked higher when they are:
- Newer
- Getting attention faster
- Part of a clear spike in activity
No system is perfect—ranking is designed to be helpful, not absolute.
How fast do clips appear?
New clips are usually reflected within about 1-3 minutes, depending on platform API latency, polling cadence, and current clip volume.
Why you might not see clips
- The streamer is offline
- No one is clipping
- Activity is too low to stand out
- A clip was removed or is restricted on the platform
Limitations & expectations
- Metrics can change quickly as clips gain views
- Some clips may disappear if removed on the source platform
- Availability depends on what the platform provides
