Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about Hylite and how clip monitoring works.
What does Hylite do?
Hylite monitors selected streamers and surfaces clips that are gaining momentum early. It helps editors, fans, and streamers find breakout moments without digging through long clip lists.
How are clips detected?
Hylite continuously monitors clip activity for each streamer. When a sudden increase in clip creation or views is detected, the clip is surfaced in your dashboard. You can read more on the How it works page.
How fast do clips appear?
New clip activity is usually reflected within about 1-3 minutes. Timing depends on platform API latency, polling cadence, and current clip volume.
What happens after I add a streamer?
- We start monitoring the stream continuously.
- Viewers create clips during the live broadcast.
- We ingest new clips and check activity signals.
- Clips with rising activity are surfaced in your dashboard.
- You review, save, or hide clips as they appear.
How many streamers can I monitor?
Free accounts can monitor up to 3 streamers at the same time. You can remove a streamer at any time to add a new one.
Which platforms are supported?
Currently, Hylite supports Twitch and Kick clips. Support for additional platforms may be added in the future.
Why don't I see any clips?
Possible reasons:
- The streamer is not live.
- No clips are being created.
- Clip activity is too low to trigger the system.
Try checking again in a few minutes.
Can I save clips?
Yes. You can save clips to your profile and access them later from the Saved Clips page.
Do I need an account?
Yes. An account is required to monitor streamers and save clips.
Is Hylite free?
Yes. The current version is free to use. Additional plans or features may be introduced in the future.
